What happens on the day of your endoscopy procedure?
Our state-of-the-art endoscopy facility is designed with one thing in mind: your comfort and care. Upon arrival, our staff will greet you and show you to your private area where you can relax and prepare for your endoscopy procedure. You’ll be attended to by experienced nurses and highly regarded specialists, ensuring that you receive the very best care and service. Every detail of your journey is designed to make you feel comfortable and confident, so that you can focus on your health and wellness.
What happens after your endoscopy procedure?
After the procedure you’ll be transferred back on your bed to a private cubicle where you will rest and wait for the sedation (or General Anaesthetic) to wear off. Your vital signs will be monitored by one of our nurses to ensure you are recovering as expected. A specialist will discuss the results of your examination with you, and if further treatment is required, they will explain it to you. In a modern, aesthetically pleasing environment, you can recuperate in comfort.
A detailed endoscopy report with captured images is given to the patient – pathology results can take 7-10 days to be received. Generally, the specialist will go through the results at the follow-up appointment. GPs are also sent a copy of the report.
